Excellency, the High Commissioner of India,
Dear Singla Ji,
Your Mauritian adventure is coming to an end as all good things’ inevitable destiny. You have been at your best in your mission of a Diplomat in Mauritius and you have made good friends with your smiles and engaging approach to your interlocutors.
India has put in place a new Government just as Mauritius has done this week, both in the highest respect of the democratic paradigm. But our friendship is old and will get older and taste better as old wine. Your PM has assured us in his phone call to our PM that changes in Governments do not necessarily bring about changes in policies.
It is difficult to part but it opens new avenues for bigger challenges without which life would be dull. We would like to wish you well in your new posting. We are sure that wherever you are, you will mark your presence by your unique imprint. So long.
