Obituary Twahair Badullah

This 29th June 2022, 28th Zul Qadh 1443 was painful and it is with great sorrow that we learned of the disappearance of our brother and emblematic figure, Bro. Twahair Badullah of the Islamic Cultural Centre, responsible for the organisation of Hajj for more than two decades.

Today, the pain sinks deeper. He was a phenomenal human being, a humanitarian giant. His wisdom, compassion, sharp intelligence, dignity, humility, humanism, and much more will be missed.

He was hailed as a symbol of all in one – multi-talented, legendary champion, precious gentle soul, and always down to earth.

The news of his sad demise created widespread gloom among the Mauritian Muslim community and particularly the thousands of Hujjaj.

He is survived by his wife and four children. Salaat-e-Janaza was held on Wednesday at the Haram Shariff after Zuhr Prayer and was buried at the Al Sharayea Graveyard, near Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We pray Allah, Exalted be He, to grant him His forgiveness and give him a lofty place in His heavenly abode.
