[Poetry corner] In memory of my friend Swabir Goodur

All alone clad with emotion I was going to look for my destination bright

Sometimes in broad day light full of hope, often in the darkness of night

When the path was easy I was therefore not worried about my destination

When the destination was easy I was not worried about the commotion

All obstacles became easy when exposure to difficulties by me was made

The burden of loneliness during my journey was straight and called to fade

Step by step, strolling here and there without noticing I went far away

No voice was heard, not a single soul with awe was found in my way

I vigorously fought with the undesirable pain and brunt of loneliness

Then afterwards I met a fellow traveler known for his true friendliness

Our objectives were perhaps the same path, bared with obstacles in life

Dwindling in life, hard hit by poverty perpetually struggling against our plight

Swabir was the name of my fellow traveler who also pressed by uncountable difficulties

But disdaining misfortune in the same path we tread, making knowledge our properties

We shared however, our commonalities and knowledge together, the odd of life we defy

Surmounting and crossing hurdles and miseries we forged a bond strong enough to rely

Failure, finally stooped before success, definitely where there is a will there is a way

Another friend we met called’ motivation’ during our journey keeping us under its sway

And without motivation for sure our self-realization would take longer time to achieve

But alas: the death of Swabir, a staunch fighter of Urdu language left his legacies to conceive
