Salaires des femmes cleaners
La police n’a pas le droit de débarquer chez les proches des femmes cleaners actuellement en grève de la faim pour s’enquérir du montant de salaires de ces dernières. C’est ce que soutient Rama Valayden qui a rendu une visite aux grévistes au jardin de la Compagnie en ce début d’après-midi. « I have been given to understand that the Police has contacted the spouse/ children and/ or parents of the hunger strikers to take a statement from them in relation to their salaries/ wages. Statements have even been recorded from some of them. There is no legal basis for the police to take such a cause of action » , dénonce l’homme de loi dans une correspondence adressée au Commissaire de police aujourd’hui.
«I would be most grateful if you could put an end to this harassment of the spouse/ children and/ or parents of the strikers who are fasting rightfully for their rights » , poursuit-il. Il demande ainsi au CP de le contacter au cas où la police aimerait consigner leurs dépositions afin que « proper legal advice can be given to them ».
