Five major wars had taken place between the Arabs and Israel since 1948 to 1973 and despite the alliance made by the Arabs they lost all the battles. Israel had iron clad support of America while the Arabs were not armed to teeth. In the 6 Days war Egypt, Syria and Jordan incurred heavy loss at the hand of Israel. The Gaza strip, the Sinai Peninsula, Jerusalem and the West Bank were captured by Israel. Diplomatic solutions were sought to restore some of the lost lands to Egypt. But Palestine fell under the rude colonial rule and is still suffering lavishly.
75 years of tyranny
Seventy five years of Israeli dominance have subdued the Palestinians in the occupied territory. Resistance movement fighting the colonialist is curbed with ferocity and atrocities. Hamas and other freedom fighters used to show stiff resistance but failed to achieve their freedom from the so called mighty army of Israel. Displacement of the Palestinians has occurred several times, called the Naqba. Currently the West Bank and the Gaza strip are under full control of Israel. 55,000 Palestinians have been murdered brutally and are cut off of all medical and food supply. A war lasting almost for 19 months could not make Israel successful in eliminating the Hamas and in setting its hostages free.
75 years of myth shattered
A diversion from Gaza to Iran was made by Israel. An empty rhetoric made by Israel to entice his western allies was to fight with Iran. They wanted destroy its nuclear capacity. But Israel committed a great blunder by aggressing Iran thereby killing some of its scientists and military commanders. The response from Iran was catastrophic and devastating. Powerful missiles rained over Israel, bleeding some of its major cities. Israel is brought to its knee in that tit for tat war. Iran fought alone with Israel, Germany, UK, America, France and some Arab countries. The 75 years of Israeli dominance over the Muslims shattered in the 12 days war. Thanks to Iran and to the Ayatollah, a heroic and charismatic leader who led his country towards a crushing victory.
Donald Trump Assumption
The deadly and devastating blows received by Iran forced Netanyahu to seek help from America. They aimed to destroy the three nuclear sites in Iran. Ultimately about six bombers 2 carried out this mission, creating havoc in the sites. D. Trump did not hesitate to blow his own trumpet by saying’ mission accompli’. In fact this scenario is similar to Don Quixote, who in his insanity fought with a wind mill with the thought that he was fighting with a giant. Much ado about nothing, Iranians are not that fool to leave their nuclear equipment in the sites to be targeted by America. No radiation escaped from the heavily struck site.
The outcome of this war
The weaknesses of the Israeli Army have been debunked. The supremacy of Israel in the M. East is exposed. If Iran alone gave a humiliating defeat to Israel just imagine what will be the result if the whole ummah stands united. Unfortunately the division among the ummah has caused much harm to Islam. The common enemy of Islam is Israel and in this context the Shiah Sunni problem should not be on the agenda.
Now that a cease fire is official the ummah must focus on the Palestinian’s issues. Starvation is taking place in Gaza. Some NGOs are trying their best to distribute food to the poor people of Gaza. Donation from the community will help ameliorating their agony. Pressure on Israel must intensify so that the blockade can be lifted.
