As the representative of the Commission for the rights of children in Dis-Moi (Droits Humains Océan Indien), I extend my heartful congratulations on your appointment as the new Ombudsperson for Children. Your dedication to the well-being and rights of children is commendable, and we are confident that your leadership will bring about positive change in ensuring the protection and advocacy of children’s rights in our country.
Dis-Moi (Droits Humains Océan Indien) has on endless occasions, collaborated with the office of the Ombudsperson for Children on various projects aimed at promoting the best interests of children. We are eager to sustain our collaboration with your esteemed office, and I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to arrange a meeting to deliberate on forthcoming projects aimed at advocating for the rights and welfare of children.
For instance, a vital project in 2024 by the Dis-Moi Children’s Commission is the launching of a campaign on the theme ‘Children in Conflict with Law’. The primary objective of the project is the education of children as well as their parents on children’s rights and responsibilities. We are additionally working on the establishment of a “Pro Bono Law Clinic for Children in Conflict with the Law” within the organisation.
