AFRICAN NIGHT AT MONT CHOISY GOLF CLUB HOUSE

Mont Choisy le Golf Clubhouse is involved in celebrating the different facets of Mauritian culture. After a Divali night last year, its guests were treated to an African Heritage celebration in its pristine premises that house a luxurious restaurant, in the middle of a luxuriant greenery and overlooking a magnificent golf course. The crowd attending the show represented the Mauritian rainbow nation enriched by the presence of some residents of the IRS.

The cool breeze, the lit trees and the moonlight added to the convivial atmosphere enhanced by the African drumbeat and the enticing smell of the meat on the grill.

After the welcome address by Jyoti Jeetun, the group CEO, Jean Claude de l’Estrac spoke briefly about the introduction of the African population, the first builders of our Island in the late 18 Century.

The program continued with a song and dance group that created an African atmosphere, which was already visible by shirts of Africa design.

The guests thoroughly enjoyed the night as the last of them must have left around 2300 hours.

Kudos to the Mont Choisy Group that enhanced one component of our pluralistic society that is a bit less visible.
