[L.E] How students can best prepare themselves for this challenging academic year 2022?

I am offering below some reflections and suggestions (5 main lines of action) to assist students in successfully re-integrating physical presence in their school and getting off on a new start.

1. NEW SELF-DISCIPLINE. Namely to retain all the Covid-19 PRECAUTIONS (which you surely know) in order to protect yourself and protect your friends. (WEARING OF MASKS, REGULAR SANITISATION, DISTANCING, FIST-BUMPING ETC.)

2. GETTING BACK TO BEST SCHOOLING PRACTICES such as paying full attention in class, good note-taking, revision at home each day after school, as much practical work as possible (in lab, in field, in specialist rooms etc); setting up small team study groups.

3. RETAINING and further DEVELOPING THE HABITS ACQUIRED OF WORKING ONLINE as this form of study/revision/ testing and eventually employment will be increasingly used in the FUTURE.

4.  BROADENING the scope of   your personal development to include all three domains of Humanity: the ACADEMIC and intellectual, the PHYSICAL (sports and health) and the SPIRITUAL. Expressed more simply, taking care of your brain, your body, your soul.

5. SOME SIMPLE DONT’S and  DO’S for healthy living: limiting screen time (TV, SMARTPHONE, TABLET) to let’s say 3 hours a day; to keep off alcohol, drugs and smoking; to get 7/8 hours sleep each night; to spend some time outdoors; to spend some time with your friends; after 2 years of confinement, review and renew your relationships with your family members and teachers; to spend quality time with the family; to eat a balanced diet including much fruit and vegetables, to keep off too much fried food; to exercise daily, in particular deep breathing; to keep your bedroom & working desk tidy and orderly; to find a daily action you can do to help someone else whom you know or do not know; to find ten minutes daily for prayer and meditation.
