PRAY FOR THEM : Why Pierre is a target?

Who is Pierre Krahenbuhl ? Pierre Krahenbuhl is the head of UNRWA (United Nations Relief And Works Agency) which is an agency set up by the United Nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict.

BASIC FACTS ABOUT UNRWA:

  • UNRWA was established by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 302 (iv) of 8 December 1949 to carry out direct relief programmes for Palestine refugees.
  • UNRWA is unique in the sense that it has been set up to cater for one group of refugees.
  • UNRWA started officially its relief programmes on 1st may 1950.
  • Since UNRWA’s inception the General Assembly of the United Nations has repeatedly renewed its mandate. 2 years ago the General Assembly extended UNRWA’s mandate until 30th June 2020. Every three years the mandate is renewed.
  • UNRWA has (I don’t know other examples!) contributed to the welfare and human development of four generations of Palestine refugees. Who are considered refugees to benefit UNRWA’s assistance? Refugees are persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the 1st June 1946 to 15th May 1948 and who lost both homes and means of livelihood as a result of Arab-Israeli confliction IN 1948. The definition of “Palestinian refugees” by the United Nations is a reflection of the depth of the ordeal of the Palestinian people.
  • When UNRWA started its services in 1950 it was catering for the needs of about 750,000 refugees and today Palestinian refugees who are eligible for UNRWA services turn around FIVE MILLION… Five million Palestinian refugees.
  • UNRWA is funded mainly by member states through voluntary contributions.
  • The mission of UNRWA is to help Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank including East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip to achieve their full potential in human development pending a just solution to their plight.
  • To understand the importance of UNRWA one must understand that UNRWA’s services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, microfinance, protection and emergency assistance.
  • The boss of UNRWA, Pierre Krahenbuhl was very critical when the Trump administration drastically cut its contribution to UNRWA. On 17th January 2018. He wrote “since UNRWA began its operations in May 1950 every US administration from President Truman onwards has stood with and provided strong, generous and committed support to our agency. The US has consistently been UNRWA’s largest single donor something we sincerely thank the American people for”… definitely it was a direct attack on Trump.

Commissioner General Pierre Krahenbuhl further wrote “We see a Middle-East where conflict, violence and polarization remain ever present and impact the lives of millions of people we observe a world in which anger reigns, not trust, a world in which power frequently rules, not justice, world in which power frequently rules, not justice a world in which what divides is often valued more that what unites, includes and brings together.”

The state of the world and the situation of the Palestine refugees is however far too serious and important to allow ourselves to indulge in pessimism or despair. UNRWA stands for hope, for respect of rights and for dignity when things are difficult our determination grows when the way seems lost we invest all our every in search of new paths, keeping our eyes on the horizon and looking for different solutions.”

Enough to call for the ire of Trump and Israel.

And last year Pierre Krahenbuhl launched the campaign “dignity is priceless” a global fundraising campaign in response to the brutal and unprecedented cuts by Trump administration. Pierre Krahenbuhl said in a communiqué “what does it mean to be a Palestinian refugee in 2018?”

“In Gaza it means being a victim of a decade long blockade and humanitarian crisis, resulting in one million people dependent on food aid.

In the West Bank it means living under occupation, fear of violence and lack of opportunities.

In Syria, it means being trapped in a brutal arm conflict, thousands deprived of access to water, food, electricity and basic healthcare.

In Lebanon it means living in overcrowded camps with  dire living conditions, facing systemic challenges to access to employment and business opportunites.

In Jordan it means a challenging life in the fear of being forgotten as poverty grows and unemployment rises.

IT MEANS 70 YEARS OF SUFFERING ”

Having read all his statements I know that Pierre Krahenbuhl will either be assassinated by the Mossad or a big plot against his person is on the way.

Pierre Krahenbuhl resigned last week after findings of an internal investigation found “management issues”that need to be addressed…

Why ?

  1. Because Pierre Krahenbuhl is critical to Trump administration
  2. Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has systemativally denounced the atrocities of the Israelis.
  • Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has not supported the US plan for peace.
  1. Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has criticised the decision of president Trump to “make”Jerusalem the eternal and undivided capital and undivided capital of Israel.
  2. Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has gone out of his way to support the Palestinian people.
  3. Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has supported the weekly demonstration of the Palestinian people.
  • Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has not closed hospitals , schools which will have further radicalized the Palestinian youths which in turn would have been used by the Israelis to carry out further attacks against the Palestinians.
  • Because Pierre Krahenbuhl has openly criticised the policies of Israel.

And how the plot started? Following a report published by Al Jazeera… and the Al Jazeera’s report claimed that members of the inner circle of Pierre Krahenbuhl “engaged in misconduct, nepotism, retaliation and other abuses of authority.

Don’t think that the fate of Pierre Krahenbuhl is an isolated act based on ethics the long arm of Israel…
