Pray for them : The End of Netanyahu

Sunday might be the last day of Benjamin Netanyahu. It seems that he is living the final days of his historic 12-year rule. But will he leave the stage quietly? No!

Benjamin Netanyahu is mounting an unprecedented attack against his opponents. He is slashing at his opponents accusing them of betraying their voters and that they will transform Israel into an Arab State. Netanyahu is claiming he is the victim of a conspiracy instigated by the “Deep State” of Israel. He is saying that Israel will go to drain without his enlightened leadership. Benjamin Netanyahu who will no longer be under any shield of immunity, once he loses his Primeministership, is saying that he fears for the destiny of Israel.

The attacks against his opponents are so fierce and vicious that the security services are providing the majority of them with a red alert round the clock shadowing. It needs only one member of Parliament to switch side for Netanyahu to save (again) his skin.

But all those who have a glimpse of Israel politics during the last twenty-five years are not surprised by his recent outbursts and behaviour. Benjamin Netanyahu has always described all sorts of threats whether serious, large, small and imaginary in stark terms. As a master of divide-and-rule-conquer tactics he has always thrived in belittling his allies and rivals. Benjamin Netanyahu has always painted his jewish opponents as weak, hypocrites, no vision and self-hating leftists. We must also note that he has always (yes, Always) treated the Arab politicians of Israel as fifth column of terrorist organizations of sympathizers.

Benjamin Netanyahu has led the right wing likud Party with an iron fist for more than sixteen years he is known in Israel as “King Bibi” because he has been racking up a string of electoral victories.

In the past Benjamin Netanyahu was not scared as he was supported by the powerful Jewish lobby in the United States of America to stand up against President Obama over the Iranian deal

Benjamin Netanyahu was a close ally of President Trump who supported every illegal action of Israel against the Palestinians. Benjamin Netanyahu is not willing to accept the loss of power on Sunday after 12 years of office specially after the fascist Naftali Bennet (may be more dangerous than Benjamin Netanyahu) and so called centrist Yair Lapid have joined forces.

It is apposite to note that the Knesset will hold a vote on the Lapid Bennett government and if it wins the special ballot Israel’s new government will be sworn on the same day End of Netanyahu! End of Benjamin Netanyahu as Prime Minister but he will be annointed Leader of the Opposition. On the other hand, if the proposed cabinet fails to win the Knesset’s vote of confidence Israel will have to face another general elections. But with the unseating of Benjamin Netanyahu will the politics of Israel change radically? Will there be a seismic shift in political culture? Will there be a turning point in its democratic decline? Will Israel end its rule over millions of Palestinians?

Will Israel accept East Jerusalem as Capital of a Palestinian State?

Will Israel stop persecuting the Palestinians?

Don’t dare to dream as the end of Benjamin Netanyahu does not mean a seismic change towards the Palestinians. The disparate eight party coalition does not give a damn about the fate of the Palestinians. According to many independent observers the Palestinians have become invisible, (oh ya! Invisible!) INVISIBLE, in Israeli politics. The Treacherous Islamist party Ra’am is only using its four seats to extract some narrow gains for its own electorate but unsurprisingly has agreed not to become entangled (tactical move or sheer opportunist) in the whole Palestinian issue for the purposes of avoiding friction. Do you know who is Naftali Bennett?

  1. He has done more than to rebrand the whole image of Jewish only settlement within Israel.
  2. He is for the politics of a home for every Jew at the expense of the Palestinians.
  3. Was the darling boy of Benjamin Netanyahu as he was more extremist than any other Likud member.
  4. He wants to occupy & then annex Gaza.
  5. He believes in a great Israel which will cover large part of the region.
  6. Was Minister of Diaspora Affairs from 2013 to 2019.
  7. Was Minister of Defence from 2019-2020.
  8. Is a staunch opponent of any idea of a Palestinian State saying “I will do everything in my power to make sure that they never get a State.”…

And do you know what was Bennet’s response to Israel’s release of Palestinian prisoners in 2013?

Bennett said that the Palestinian terrorists should be shot by stating “I already killed lots of Arabs in my life (Can you sense the hate of Arabs? But be cautious all Jews of Israel are not like him) and there is absolutely NO PROBLEM with that”…

And in November 2016 Bennett said that the election of Donald Trump gave him great hope that the two state-solution would no longer be considered as viable claiming “the era of Palestinian State is over”

However Bennett will unite the Trade-unions & NGOS with his social & economic policies which will, may be, pave the way for a new-thinking.
