Believe it or not, the Israelis will never accept a Palestinian state even if it is on 10 square metres of land. Never! Last year, we all remember how Israelis tried to no avail to kill the Palestinian resistance. The world condemned the Israel government and the Israeli army. The war happened during the 2021 Ramadan.
Basic facts to remember:
Why did the war start?
The crisis was triggered on 6th may 2021 when Palestinians began protesting in East Jerusalem against the eviction of six Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah. During the protest the Israeli army stormed the compound of the Al-Aqsa mosque using all sorts of ultra-offensive weapons. Rubber bullets, live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas were used indiscriminately. The compound of Al-Aqsa was violated by the Israeli army.
When did the war start?
It started on the 8th of May on Qadr day observed by all Muslims around the world.
From my own notes I can see:
- Israeli army destroyed through airstrikes:
- 40 school.
- 4 hospital.
- 19 medical facilities
- 94 civil buildings in Gaza
- 461 housing & commercial units
- Housing office of the associated press
- The Al Jazeera media press
- Other news outlets.
As a result of violence:
- 256 Palestinians were killed, including 66 children.
- 13 Israelis, including two children…
What happened on the 15th April 2022?
On the 15th April 2022 Israeli forces raided the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in force before dawn on Friday as thousands of worshippers were gathered at the mosque for early morning prayers.
Was it not a provocation?
Yes it was a provocation by the Israeli army which used tear gas, stun grenades and other offensive weapons.
After using offensive weapons the Israeli army did everything in their capacity to hinder the arrival of ambulances and paramedics to the sacred mosque.
Now the fascist Israeli army saying that they arrested AT LEAST 300 Palestinians. Why? Because of “massive stone throwing”. Will you be convinced by such baseless argument? I hope not.
We all know that the “Al-Aqsa” mosque is the third holiest site in Islam and revered by the Jews by the Temple Mount.
The Palestinian presidency said that the storming of Al-Aqsa mosque is a “dangerous development” and a “declaration of war”.
Neighbouring Jordan which is the custodian of the Holy Site Al-Aqsa issued a joint statement accusing Israel of “a dangerous and condemnable escalation that threatens to explore the situation”. Egypt also condemned the “Israeli raid”.
After prayer of Friday thousands of Palestinians marched around the esplanade chanting “With our souls, with our blood, we sacrifice for you, Allah”.
I pray for them.
